Live Online Roulette
Tue, 10/09/2007 - 13:40One of the most popular casino games is Roulette. Roulette is a French word meaning 'small wheel'. The wheel in the game of Roulette is numbered from one to thirty-six, alternating in color from red to black. The wheel spins one way, while the dealer spins a little white ball the other way. Players place their bets on which number the ball will eventually fall into, or on which color the number is, or whether the number is odd or even. Traditionally, Live Roulette has been the best way to play roulette because the wheel is not graphically represented well in a simulation, and it's just not as fun to play without a live table and a live dealer.
But now, using the latest web casting technology, you can play live Roulette with a real live dealer from the privacy and comfort of your own home. These aren't simulations, or graphical representations. You can see and hear the live dealer, and see and hear all of the players around the table, just as if you were actually right there in the casino.

Tue, 10/02/2007 - 23:34If your friends and family know you're headed to Los Vegas, then you've probably heard at least 100 different tips and strategies by now. But just in case you need to know what your best bets are, and some other of the best things in Las Vegas, here are a few more. First, consider restricting your gambling to one casino. In general, it's better to gamble $100 at one casino than to gamble $20 at 5 different casinos.
Also, when you begin to gamble, make sure to ask to join the slot club, or ask to be rated at the tables. Often, casinos will give away promotional packages, even if you don't play much. And you might even end up with a free night's stay in the hotel. Finally, after gaming for a couple of hours, when you are ready to leave, ask your pit boss for a line pass. The line pass will allow you to bypass the long lines at restaurants and clubs and use the vip line instead. You won't always get a line pass, but you often will, as casinos don't mind giving them out because they don't cost them anything.

Poker Tips: Patience
Mon, 09/24/2007 - 20:09I play in live Texas Hold Em tournaments pretty regulary, probably about 3 or 4 times per week. No, I dont mean the online garden variety, where everyone and his mother goes all in on the first hand every time. I mean tournaments you actually have to drive to, pay to get in, draw for seating, and the whole nine yards. One thing I've noticed after playing for about two years now, is that the more patient I am, the better I usually play. Now, I don't mean that you should be so patient that you are blinded out of the tournament because you never play anything except for AA or KK. But I do mean that you should be throwing out alot of the K9o, Q10o, A-rag and similar hands. usually, after a couple hours of not getting very good hands, if I start to get a little impatient, I might start to play some of htose hands, and that's usually when the trouble starts.
Another example of how time can affect how you play poker, is when you have a limited amount of time to play. Typically, the less time you have to play poker, the more aggressive you'll play. And while aggressive play can sometimes land some huge pots for you, you'll end up iwht some pretty wild stack swings. for the most part, I'll avoid poker play all together if I have any sort of time restriction.
